About the practice.

After several years of working for a counseling ministry and finding her strengths as a therapist, Michele wanted to create a therapeutic space of her own. She envisioned a practice with an integrated approach to therapy that combines science and faith in a nurturing environment. Michele believes that deep and lasting healing involves attending to the three parts of self—mind, body and soul. The mind makes us aware of what we are experiencing, the body shows us how we are experiencing it and our soul tells us the truth about the experience. These are the three streams of her therapeutic approach. Her vision for Three Streams Counseling is to offer hope and help to individuals, couples, and families using this holistic threefold lens.

The Three Streams.

Mind.

The mind is more than our brain. It’s the part of ourselves that enables us to be aware of our environment and experiences. It allows us to think and feel. When our mind creates healthy connections through awareness, we can change a previous way of thinking and relating.

Body.

The body is more than the sum of our parts. It’s how we engage the world around us. The body can help us better understand our thoughts, mood, and emotions. Integrating an awareness of the body within a therapeutic context can have a surprisingly powerful effect on our healing.

Soul.

Our soul is more than our inner world. It’s the essence of who we are. Tending to this part of ourselves is a spiritual, mental, and emotional necessity. Counseling creates an environment for us to develop a deeper understanding of who we’ve been, who we are and who we want to be.
